From a very young age I wanted to be a doctor to help people, and I succeeded! I am a Medical Doctor (accredited in Italy, Spain and Argentina) and have worked in several countries: Italy, Argentina, USA, Mexico, UK and Brazil. Since the beginning of my training, the suffering of people has greatly moved and intrigued me, leading me to study Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychoanalysis to deeply understand psychic functioning.

Since 1990 I have been a Psychoanalyst, becoming in 1995 Full Member with training function of the Asociación Psicoanalítica Argentina (APA), Full Member, Training and Supervising Analyst of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA), and later Full Member of the Società Psicoanalitica Italiana (SPI) and the Centro Torinese di Psicoanalisi. I have worked in psychiatry in hospital settings, always from a psychodynamic perspective. I was also interested in accidents, thus founding CIPEA with other colleagues, a Psychological Research Center for the study of accidents. In addition, my contact with my patients prompted me to conduct research to found and coordinate the “Clinical Group for the treatment of severe patients with the multiple-impact technique” for 15 years, and an additional group on sensuality, sexuality and genital sexual arousal.

In academia, I was Professor of “Psychopathology and Psychoanalytic Technique” and “Psychoanalytic Theory” for 17 years. Currently, I am a Professor at the School of Specialization (University of Turin) and a Professor at the Istituto Nazionale del Training of the SPI.
I believe that the basis of any treatment is humanity, and the positive relationship between therapist and patient in order to build a process of change together.
